CCAF General Education Mobile (GEM)

Northwood University has partnered with the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) through the General Education Mobile Program (GEM). Our mission: to assist Airmen serving on Active Duty, Reserve and Air National Guard in completing the 15-credit hour General Education requirement in the CCAF Associate of Applied Science degree‚ regardless of their duty locations.

The GEM Program provides assurance to the participating service member that the coursework completed at the regionally accredited school has relevancy with other institutions should they pursue a four-year degree. All courses are available in distance-learning format.

Airmen interested in pursuing a CCAF degree should contact their local education office or point of contact for direction. Airmen are guided to the Air Force Virtual Education Center website and can choose Northwood University among a selection list of GEM participants to complete the CCAF degree requirements. Below is a list of pre-approved courses and scheduling options.
